For Blue Castle Residents
What to Do If Your Rent May Be Late
Review the lease and account, communicate promptly and keep every payment record.

Direct Answer
If you may miss the rent deadline, review your lease and DoorLoop account immediately, verify any pending payment, and contact Blue Castle through the official channel with a clear, factual update. Communication does not change the lease or guarantee an arrangement, but silence usually makes the problem harder to resolve.
Take These Steps
- Read the rent due date, grace-period language, late-charge provisions and payment instructions in your lease.
- Log in to DoorLoop and check the balance and recent transactions.
- If a payment shows pending, do not immediately submit another one. Confirm its status and your funding account first.
- If no payment was made, identify when funds are realistically available.
- Contact Blue Castle promptly. State your property, the issue, any attempted payment and the date you expect to take the next step.
- Use only an authorized payment method and save the confirmation.
Useful Message Example
“I am a resident at [property]. My DoorLoop account shows [balance or payment status]. I attempted payment on [date] using [method], and the confirmation/status is [status]. I expect to have funds available on [date]. Please let me know the correct next step under my lease.”
Do not include full bank-account or card numbers in a portal message or email.
Avoid These Mistakes
- Ignoring notices, emails or portal messages.
- Sending money through Venmo, Zelle, Cash App, PayPal or another method unless Blue Castle expressly authorized it for your property.
- Submitting duplicate payments because the first one is still processing.
- Assuming a verbal conversation or message waives a charge or changes the lease.
- Promising a payment date you cannot reasonably meet.
- Leaving a payment problem unreported until additional deadlines pass.
Written Terms Control
This page does not create a payment plan, waive a fee, extend a deadline or alter any notice. Any approved arrangement should be documented through the appropriate Blue Castle process.
Your Lease Still Controls
This guide explains practical resident steps but does not change your lease, property rules, written notices or applicable law. Follow the documents and property-specific instructions that apply to your tenancy.
